Personal Life

Roni Savage is a proud mother to three boys and a passionate advocate for gender diversity and social mobility. She dedicates her time to mentoring and coaching aspiring professionals, particularly women and individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in construction and STEM. Her ability to balance motherhood with a thriving entrepreneurial career has made her a powerful role model, inspiring others to pursue their ambitions while staying true to their personal values. Roni’s unwavering commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and education drives both her personal and professional pursuits. 

Achievements & Recognition

Roni’s accomplishments have earned her widespread recognition within the construction and engineering sectors. She was named the Most Influential Woman in Construction in 2022 and awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Institute of British Architects (HonRIBA) in 2021. In 2019, she received Fellowship of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) by presidential invitation. She is professionally recognized as a Chartered Engineer (CEng FICE), Chartered Geologist (CGeol), and Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC). Roni holds a BEng (Hons) in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics from the University of Portsmouth, along with a Master’s degree (with distinction) in Environmental Management. In 2023, she was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate (DUniv) for her outstanding service to the construction industry. In 2024, she was appointed to the Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee (PMAC) for the King’s Awards, further recognizing her national influence and leadership. 

Jomas Associates

In 2009, Roni founded Jomas Associates, after gaining valuable experience as Associate Director at one of the UK’s largest engineering firms. Jomas delivers site investigations, engineering, and environmental surveys across the UK, with a primary focus on land development projects. Known for providing high-quality, high-value, and efficient engineering solutions, the firm has grown under Roni’s leadership into a multi-million-pound enterprise. In 2017, Jomas was named a high-growth company by Goldman Sachs, and Roni completed the 10,000 Small Businesses Programme through Oxford University’s Saïd Business School—further sharpening her strategic business approach. 

Industry Leadership & Advocacy

Beyond her role at Jomas, Roni plays a significant part in shaping the future of the construction and STEM industries through thought leadership, policy influence, and advocacy for diversity. She is the founder of Business Women in STEM, a platform created to celebrate, empower, and elevate the visibility of women making impactful contributions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through events, networking, and recognition initiatives, the platform showcases role models and promotes greater representation in male-dominated fields. 
 
Roni also serves as the Policy Chair for Construction at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), where she champions the interests of small firms within the construction sector. Additionally, she is the Vice Chair and Board Trustee at the YMCA, and sits on the Chartership Committee of the Geological Society of London. A sought-after international speaker, she regularly addresses topics including engineering, diversity and inclusion, mentoring, and changemaking. Her insights have been featured in ForbesProperty WeekLinkedInThe TelegraphDaily Mail, and on major broadcast platforms such as Sky NewsBBC News, and London Live TV. In 2019, she brought her expertise to the mainstream as an adviser to Lord Sugar on BBC’s The Apprentice.
