Speaking Testimonials

Mayor’s Fund for London – Speaking Engagement – March 2021

We had students from 14 schools, a great reach – with a good gender mix too.

The young people were very engaged and it was lovely to hear from some of them happy to unmute to speak to you directly.

We have asked for feedback and have had some early comments that I wanted to share with you,

  • I thought it was a brilliant webinar and Roni is an inspiration, she should be so proud of her achievements and she was really interesting and I would love to get to know more about her
  • I very much enjoyed the talk about Engineering, thank you for the helpful guidance. The talk really helped me understand the possibilities that can be achieved from engineering and all the aspects of work conditions such as both on site and office-based work. It helped me understand particular ways that field work is operated and the precautions that must be considered.
  • I loved the webinar today as it helped me to understand what other types of engineering are there, and the speaker has told us on how to get more information about engineering. The speaker was amazing at describing her job and what her job is I enjoyed it a lot.
  • The experience was useful as it gave a lot of knowledge about what the day of engineering work place looks like

I listened intently to your presentation to the Westminster Employment Forum a couple of weeks ago. I found it extremely interesting and informative and much of what you said resonated with experiences of many of my colleagues.

Many thanks for supporting our Black History Month event. We have already received numerous positive comments from the audience. Terms used have been ‘engaging’, ‘inspiring’, ‘confident’ and ‘genuine’.

One or two even asked whether you had any vacancies!!!

Personally, I found the discussion really informative and thank you for your honesty and openness. There was a real desire to invite you back for another session, possibly a panel discussion. I hope you’d be up for that.

I loved your motto of ‘Stand up, stand tall, stand out’…..

Many thanks and I look forward to talking with you again. Best wishes, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)
